Each model in detail
-
What does it cost to hire through ProDevs?
It depends on the model. Direct hire is a one-time fee of 10–15% of the hire’s first-year salary. Outsourcing, where we find, employ and manage the staff for you, is 20% of salary. Payroll and compliance for people you have already chosen is 5% of salary, capped at $500 a month. A monthly retainer is a flexible monthly rate based on role, seniority and hours. Freelance projects are free to post, with a 5% client fee on payments.
-
What does direct hire cost?
A one-time placement fee of 10–15% of the talent’s first-year salary. You pay it once, when you bring the person aboard as a full-time direct hire.
-
What does outsourcing cost?
Our fee is 20% of the person’s salary. With outsourcing, ProDevs finds the people, employs and pays them locally, and manages the employment on your behalf. The $500 monthly cap applies to payroll and compliance only, not to outsourcing.
-
What does payroll and compliance cost?
Our fee is 5% of the talent’s salary, capped at $500 a month. This is for people you have already found or chosen: it is common for companies that find it hard to pay talent based in Africa, or that want one contract for managing their talent and payment.
-
How does contract-to-hire work?
You work with someone on contract until you confirm you would like to make the full salaried hire. These are back-to-back transactions: you pay the hourly rate during the contracting period, and a one-time buyout fee when you bring the person on full-time.
-
What does it cost to post a freelance project?
Posting is free. You fund a milestone only when you hire, and pay a 5% client fee on payments. Payment is held in escrow until you approve the work.
-
How quickly will I see candidates, and how long does hiring take?
You receive a first shortlist of vetted profiles within 48 hours. That is the time to a first shortlist, not to a hire: most companies find their fit within two to three weeks.
-
What if the person is not the right fit?
All plans include a two-week replacement guarantee, along with vetted talent and a dedicated success manager.
